Sting, the legendary musician from the Police, was honored with the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement, from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. In the year 2000, he got his own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He's also been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame for his incredible talent. He got inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, rockin' with the Police in 2003. That same year, Sting got a CBE from Liz at Buckingham Palace for his serious music game. Plus, he got the Kennedy Center Honors at the White House, in 2014. And then, in 2017, he won the Polar Music Prize.
He's received a career total of 17 Grammys, and his biggest hit, "Every Breath You Take" is both Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for a staggering eight weeks! In 2019, he got a BMI Award, For the most-played song in radio history. This jam is a classic, a true rock and roll anthem that shaped the genre. It's a chart-topper, baby, and Billboard even ranked it at number 29 on their "Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Singles" list for the 60th anniversary.
Sting dropped his fourteenth album, My Songs, in May of 2019. He's got 14 fresh tracks, all revamped and ready to rock, straight from his biggest hits. The album made it to 145 on the Billboard 200 and 28 on the Top Rock Albums chart. He dropped his latest, and fifteenth album, The Bridge, was released back in November 2021, charting at number 27 in the UK, States side it reached, a respectable, number 101 on the Billboard 200, and climbed to the 15th spot on the Top Rock Albums chart. Just a day after the release of The Bridge, Sting also released the track, "What Could Have Been", with Ray Chen, a song that played during the League of Legends animated series, Arcane.
